Developing the strategic sourcing strategy for cross vendor-based project, delivering improved product quality, product conformance to relative standards and cost reduction of £150Kp/a.• Developed a purchasing mechanism, to determine commodity buying opportunities, which presented saving opportunity of £1 Million in year 1.

United Kingdom

• Dulux Decorator Centres -Negotiated and manage vendor switch in key spend area, improving margins, quality of service and re-designed the global vendor to market supply chain. Developed and implemented vendor actions plans on, KPI’s, SLA’s, OTIF, quality and ethical/environmental issues with cross functional agreement.• Intertek - Conducting independent quality audits on products, ranging from High Street Fashion through to White Goods, and reported, resulting in successful dispute resolution.• LSUK - Responsible for establishing vendor approval process, reduced the vendor base by 500. Negotiated saving of £300K pa on indirect and direct spend and extended credit terms.

• Managing 10 reports and spend of £78 Million spend across multi-national supplier base and maintained continuity of supply chain in financially challenging circumstances, ensuring NPD launches, product supply to markets and on-going reduction in WIP and finished stock levels.

• Managing Gourmet Gifts, delivering 14% cost reductions through competitive tender process on £15 Million business at retail and re-engineered Supply Chain. Reducing lead-times from 14 to 6 weeks and inventory value by 33% whilst personally driving new channels of distribution across Asia, Europe and North America for the Gourmet Gift Range, resulting in 30% incremental sales.• Proposed and implemented harmonised quality standards and systems across the Waterford Wedgwood Group, whilst managing the development of Wedgwood crystal ranges for the Japanese market, including supply, packaging and product quality. Supporting business growth from £0.4 Million to £1.8 Million within 2 years.• Established product quality standards for all core non-ceramic items, driving quality improvements and reducing product cost and lead-times from suppliers.

• Developed all new metal-based products in a cross functional team, including watches, lighters and pens, ensuring they met the Brands expectations and resolved quality issues with designers, product managers, suppliers and markets during NPD.• Reduced product return rates from market of 0.5% to below 0.2%.• Developed new suppliers across, delivering improved products at lower cost.
