Brian is an audit partner in KPMG's Department of Professional Practice, the firm's national office for the audit practice. Brian’s responsibilities include consulting with engagement teams on complex accounting and regulatory matters, developing the firm’s professional accounting literature, and developing and presenting technical training for internal and external audiences. Brian also serves as an SEC Reviewing Partner. Prior to joining DPP, Brian was a partner in KPMG's New York City and Cincinnati offices for 16 years, serving public and private clients in variety of industries, primarily in consumer and retail. Prior to that, Brian was a partner in DPP for two years.

Brian was selected for a two-year appointment as a Professional Accounting Fellow in the Office of the Chief Accountant at the US Securities and Exchange Commission. Brian’s responsibilities included consulting with registrants from a wide variety of industries on accounting matters, developing SEC staff guidance, including Staff Accounting Bulletins, and liaising with accounting standards-setting bodies, both domestic and internationally.
