- Supported all Weyerhaeuser Lumber mills in the U.S. and Canada for Process Control Network and Manufacturing Execution System issues.- Completed the design/implementation for the process network that would support the MES data collection system. This involved Fiber runs, router/switch configurations, media converters, firewalls (segregate PCN from Business LAN) and Servers configured as Domain Controllers, SQL Servers, web browsers and OPC Servers (data collection).- Completed the design/implementation of the Activplant MES system. Data was collected from PLCs and remote databases via OPC servers and ODBC clients to provide the data visualization and reporting system. Standardization of the plant structure, KPIs and reporting systems allowed for efficient duplication and support of the system.- Designed and implemented a comprehensive and standardized downtime operator entry and root cause analysis system.- Used board by board historical data to develop a system for Board Grade and Dimension forecasting. This system helped fill customer orders on schedule by accurately predicting production packages.

- Process Control Lead for the design and implementation of test stands for the Hydrogen Fuel Cell bus program and car engines (partnership with Ford and Daimler-Chrysler). Worked with Systems Engineering department to design, conduct and analyze dynamic testing of fuel cell engines.- PLC and HMI design/implementation of the 250 kW hydrogen fuel cell power plant program. This involved control strategies for the Reformation process of Natural gas to hydrogen, the air pressurization sub-system, and the Fuel Cell stack/electrical systems.- Commissioned the 250 kW Fuel Cell power plant in multiple countries including Japan, Germany, Switzerland and the Crane Naval Warfare Center in Indiana. My main responsibilities were ensuring correct systems operation during startup, remote data operations/monitoring and remote data collection using SQL Server database. Implemented hardware and remote client software Firewall solutions for security.
