During my tenure at Pulse Agency, I was part of a student-run team tasked with being the public relations representatives for CityHouse, a non-profit organization based in Delray Beach, FL that looks to help single mothers and their families. Their target audience was donors.I was responsible for updating the non-profit's website to make it more modern. Another piece of media I helped create was a press release for CityHouse's Seaside Soirée, an annual gathering hosted by CityHouse to gain more donors.As a collaborative effort with my team, we worked on a video detailing one of CityHouse's former clients' life before and after CityHouse to help potential donors jump onboard to donate to the organization. The video was edited by our group leader, Pierina Sarmiento.

In addition to my duties as iPulse web coordinator, I was also the floor manager for iPulse's biweekly online live news show iPulse Live.In this role, I was responsible for ensuring the camera and audio equipment were working and that the crew and news anchors knew what to do when the show was going live. I would signal the news anchors when the show was going live and when it was no longer on air.

After being promoted from assistant editor to web coordinator, I was tasked with ensuring that the iPulse website was updated with the latest article and video content. For articles, I was in charge of ensuring that the articles published in the newspaper were also online. Occasionally, online-only articles were uploaded if needed for a special event or story.As for videos, it would be news pieces created by the video team. I was also in charge of uploading the handpicked videos to the iPulse YouTube page. Other videos that I would upload would be newscasts from iPulse's bi-weekly online live news show iPulse Live.

Following my time as a copy support writer, I was promoted to an assistant editor the following year.As an assistant editor, I not only wrote articles but also assisted the editors in editing staff writers' articles two weeks before publication.Furthermore, I helped to organize submitted articles for which days they would be published and also assisted in editing the newspaper before it was published in print on campus utilizing the Adobe application InDesign.

During my time interning at Macias Advertising, I helped the firm prepare to launch marketing campaigns for their clients by researching information that would help to influence their decisions about how to execute those strategies and who the target audience would be.I also was able to offer any creative feedback to help the team know if there were any areas that needed improvement or any thoughts about how the work for the marketing campaigns came together.Due to my journalism major, I was assigned to write engaging Instagram post ideas for client "Tampico" and one of my posts was eventually published.

As a staff writer, my "beat" was entertainment news, which included stories or opinion pieces relating to movies and pop-culture related topics. However, at times I would write about other topics that I believed would be relevant to readers.In order to write my articles, I would conduct online research that would be utilized within my pieces due to their relevancy and whether I would be able to include the information depending on the AP word limit for writing news articles. In addition to conducting online research, I would also get quotes from students and other people at Lynn University to put in my articles. Lastly, I would take photos with my iPhone or get them from off the Internet for the editors to use for my article.Because of how much I paid attention to detail within my work and my desire to become more involved with iPulse, the editors appointed me as one of the copy support members for the following year.
