During my tenure, RevZilla became part of America’s largest powersports aftermarket retailer, Comoto Motorsports. I was hired to work on a proprietary ERP system built in Ruby on Rails to support retail and supply chain operations. Then, in the run-up to the formation of Comoto, I worked with a small team to build a proprietary Phoenix Framework e-commerce platform to replace an outdated enterprise product used by their new sister company, Cycle Gear, resulting in sizable improvements in recent customer acquisition and conversion. After the merger, we expanded the platform to replace RevZilla’s e-commerce system, which is fully integrated with its legacy warehouse and logistics platform. I also helped rework our accounting systems to rely on purchase orders (as opposed to shipping invoices) as the source of truth for vendor payments.

WebLinc was an ecommerce platform company and consultancy focused on website implementation for mid-market e-commerce retailers. I worked as a member of their core product team – building an enterprise-grade Ruby on Rails commerce platform (later open-sourced as Workarea Commerce). During this time, I was primarily responsible for API design and 3rd party integration planning. I sometimes lead development teams during platform implementation projects requiring complex changes to the core platform for specialized features. Co-responsible for recruiting, hiring, and training a team of 50 developers working in Ruby on Rails, MongoDB, and Elasticsearch. I also participated in sales engineering for over $10 million in project work, performed technical assessments for acquisition targets as part of M&A activities (resulting in purchasing the OrderBot order management system), and represented the company at various retail conferences and expos.

Being "Joint" signifies inter-branch collaboration, including members from the Army, Navy, Air Force, or Marine Corps from any of those nations.As an enlisted advisor, I was focused on developing communication strategies to garner local and international cooperation and support for regional efforts. Our operations included multiple missions, including providing medical, dental, and veterinary care through civil affairs projects, constructing schools, medical facilities, and infrastructure via engineering projects, and delivering military training to partner nations.
