Haldex is a Tier 1, global supplier to the Commercial Vehicle Market whose focus is on developing and providing reliable and innovative solutions that improve safety, vehicle dynamics and environmental sustainability.As Vice President Brian led the Product & Technology approach for the North American market. He focused on electric and autonomous vehicle strategy development, execution, and business creation. He worked keenly to shape a strategy and build a pursuit which meet the needs of a rapidly advancing industry. In addition, Brian had the privilege of leading a team of talented engineers and external technology partners in the pursuit of exciting new developments in the EV and AV space.

As Chief Engineer Brian led a team of highly talented Mechanical, Electrical, and Software Engineers responsible for developing the latest in vehicle control systems and hardware. He focused extensively on reshaping the technology strategy to adapt to changing industry demands for improved vehicle connectivity and defined new business opportunities such as IoT and SaaS to expand Haldex’s product/ service offering.

Responsible for full product life-cycle planning and implementation of $90M product portfolio, Brian worked closely with executives across all functions to develop business cases evaluating project scope and prioritization. Beyond just establishing an innovation pipeline of future projects he launched 4 projects in 3 years capturing a $21M return.

Brian led a small team of engineers in the design, validation, and deployment of products supporting a $50M product portfolio. He launched several process improvement initiatives to realize efficiency improvements in daily operations.

Caterpillar is a Fortune 100 corporation that designs, manufactures, and deploys construction/ mining and power equipment across the globe. In addition to being the world’s number one manufacture of equipment it is an innovative pioneer of new technology.As an Engineering Team Leader Brian led a team of engineers in the development of new diesel engine systems to support all Caterpillar products in achieving EPA Tier 4 emission regulations.

As an engineer in the Power Systems group Brian worked on a large team of engineers focused on releasing over 100 new engines to support all Caterpillar products in achieving EPA Tier 4 emission regulations.

As an associate engineer Brian worked within an advanced research team developing new vehicle control systems which enabled autonomous operation of equipment in mining operations.
