Satellite Services Team Lead In International Spectrum Policy
CurrentTeam Lead in international telecommunications regulations and policy at the National Telecommunications and Information Agency (NTIA) at the U.S. Department of Commerce. In my primary duties I manage the work of the Satellite Services Team of the International Spectrum Policy Division in the Office of Spectrum Management at the NTIA. I also represent the interests of the United States at United Nations-level meetings and other fora within the technical and treaty-level bodies of the International Telecommunication Union as well as NATO Spectrum Operations. I serve as a subject matter and policy expert on U.S. delegations, particularly in regards to items of interest in the satellite services and the science services communities represented by NASA, NOAA, DoD, and the National Science Foundation. Domestically, I advocate U.S. Federal agency positions in developing policy on specific issues in radiocommunications and serve as the Vice-Chair of the Interdepartmental Advisory Committee's Radio Conference Subcommittee. Internationally, I advocate U.S. government positions at international technical and treaty meetings and serve as co-Head of Delegation (USA) to ITU-R Study Group 4 on Satellite Services and Vice-Chair to ITU-R Study Group 5 (SG 5) on Terrestrial Services and Vice-Chair to SG 5 Working Party 5C on the Fixed Service .
