Tasked with developing and implementing a comprehensive institutional grant relations strategy to support Gilchrist's bereavement counseling & support, elder medical care, and hospice care services.Gilchrist is a nationally recognized nonprofit leader in serious illness and end-of-life care, with a mission to provide quality compassionate care, counseling, and support to people at every stage of serious illness so they may live life to the fullest. Gilchrist is dedicated to providing hospice, elder medical care, and bereavement support for seriously ill adults and children and their families. Wrap-around service options begin well in advance of hospice, with care and support for individuals as soon as they begin to be affected by advancing age or serious illness. Service choices then continue with a comprehensive array of medical, emotional, social, and spiritual supports for the patient and their family throughout the progression of end-of-life and hospice support before finally providing a wide range of bereavement services for our patients’ families and the community at large to support people in the months and years after losing loved ones. With 696 employees serving just over 26,000 people annually, Gilchrist is the largest provider of serious illness and end-of-life care in Maryland.
