• Led a team of 75 personnel that developed and implemented a program of instruction for training all TXARNG soldiers and units on critical individual tasks and unit collective activities to ensure readiness prior to deploying to Afghanistan or Iraq. • Established pre-deployment training center of excellence that capitalized on incorporating best practices; facilitated training of over 5,000 National Guard soldiers over two years in preparation for critical combat deployments. • Supervised the design, development and deployment of a cloud based training data management system that allowed near real time tracking of key performance measures for individuals and units which resulted in over a 100% increase in efficiency

• Coordinated and planned with both Texas Division of Emergency Management and TXARNG units to ensure all units are postured to respond rapidly and effectively to natural disasters or other emergencies within the state of Texas.• Led the threat, criticality and vulnerability assessment of critical assets throughout the State of Texas; developed and coordinated risk mitigation and response plans to ensure continuity of critical operations and assets• Supervised preparation, training and deployment of over 1,200 soldiers to the Texas/Mexico border in addition to numerous other operations in support of civilian authorities. • Integrated the use of the National Incident Management System (NIMS) and Incident Command System (ICS) protocols into all domestic response operations with federal, state and local government agencies• Designed the planning and preparation for exercises and simulations to prepare a 230 person adaptive battle staff for large scale crisis management operations

• Managed and guided transformation of 400 person unit from a legacy armor structure into a more agile and effective reconnaissance and surveillance capability to ensure unit’s readiness for worldwide deployment. • Led the redesign of all aspects of organization, training, operational risk management and logistics for the unit; successfully completed these tasks while increasing overall personnel strength and qualification rate of the unit.• Oversaw five units within the squadron through mentoring of direct report leadership and staff teams
