• Filled unit dose medications for patients in multiple hospital wings.
• Worked in IV room compounding controlled and non-controlled IV admixtures.

• Worked on several quality improvement research projects including: piperacillin-tazobactam medication use utilization, electrolyte replacement during continuous veno-venous hemofiltration and maintenance of the IV.

Managed 5-7 research lab students in weekly experiments. Trained lab students in proper sterile technique with human cancer cells. Common procedures included cell culture, splitting, plating and treating. Plates were analyzed using a plate reader and CyQuant Assay to assess protein activity. Responsibilities included managing lab inventory, reporting.

Aided in teaching 65 students techniques in sterile and non-sterile compounding. These included the non-sterile compounding procedures of emulsions, lotions, suppositories, suspensions and semi-solids as well as sterile garbing and gowning, aseptic procedures in and cleaning of a laminar flow hood and needle/syringe techniques for preparing IV admixtures..

RA for summer camps with oversight of up to 100 students. Checked students in and out of rooms; performed room and property inventory. Conducted rounds to ensure student safety; enforced curfews; wrote incident reports as required. Communicated and coordinated with other RAs as part of a 24-hour support team.
