Software Development, Business Intelligence, and Problem Solving• Developed a simplified method to modify the customer webpage to incorporate customized software, such as charts/contextual links or extra security; was leveraged to build the main product line sold today.• Spearheaded solutions for PeopleSoft customers in the areas of business intelligence, security, and usability.• Investigated technologies enabling drop-in solutions to integrate disparate systems with business intelligence, using in-browser debugging techniques, new JavaScript libraries, and knowledge of web server technology.

Leadership and Product Development• Pioneered the first payroll module for NetSuite by collaborating with the Product Management and Strategy team to create a unique product with functionality unavailable in other desktop products.• Led a team of 3 to identify customer needs and provide a long-term platform for business intelligence. Resulted in the creation of a flexible set of services that replaced prototype code in under 1 month.• Advised product team on benefits of creating a unique and functional design rather than replicating competitor (QuickBooks). Software Development• Streamlined financial data into a real-time reporting system to reduce errors by eliminating the standard duplication process and prior month comparisons to allow for faster month-end closure. • Developed deployment tools for the 1st generation cloud application that removed need for the entire development team to be available during overnight deployment. Tools allowed for a single developer to independently resolve issues.• Designed and implemented the 2nd generation multi-tiered SaaS platform with the CTO and CIO. • Architected a contact management system that integrated with the existing accounting system.

Leadership and Software Development• Awarded “Peggy’s Hero” at PeopleSoft for taking initiative and identifying a series of technical bugs during the final testing phase. Restored system in under 2 days to launch the product on time.• Developed a software tool called Cube Manager for departmental heads who wanted to perform analysis using OLAP tools and convert a transactional data system into a multi-dimensional reporting data system. In keeping with PeopleSoft guidelines, the tool could create data consumed by Hyperion Essbase, Cognos PowerPlay, and Information Advantage.

Hardware and Software Architecture• Developed the client side of the ODBC driver used in future products. • Helped define the object-oriented architecture of current Cache product line as a team member.• Built new hardware for research and development and performed tasks associated with backing up the associated software. • Performed evaluations of two multi-taking operating systems, Windows 3.1 and Desqview, by installing hardware, troubleshooting issues, and providing recommendations for strategic direction of the PC product line.
