The Revolt Summer Surf Series, also known as the RSSS is a Non-ASP Domestic Surf Series based in San Diego. The annual Pro Am surfing competition attracts shortboarders, longboarders and stand up paddle surfers of all ages & skillsets, from around the world, to perform in their sport of choice and be recognized for their achievements.For seven years now, Revolt In Style Magazine has been dedicated to the establishment and development of this grassroots Pro Am Surf Series and ‘Green’ Beach Fair, supported by surfers and media from around the globe. 8 divisions make up this unique event, that has grown into one of the largest Pro Am surf series in Southern California.Four events are held at strategic surf breaks in San Diego throughout the summer season. This platform has allowed the RSSS to help talented surfers advance their skills in a safe and positive competition format, while also providing a highly visible, family friendly and ecofriendlysetting for all our sponsors and spectators.Other elements, including a ‘Green’ beach fair, surfboard demo’s, live DJ’s, special celebrity appearances, raffles, giveaways & beach games, add to the family friendly, festival atmosphere. In 2013 we expect to attract over 100,000 people to the combined events.Each summer we have partnered with the San Diego Lifeguard Association, The Surfrider Foundation, Discover PB and other important community organizations. We are privately insured and secure proper permits from San Diego Parks and Recreation for each event.
