Brian Walton is a Hall of Fame cyclist, Olympic silver medalist, three time Olympian, World Cup Champion, Pan-American Champion, Canadian National Champion and professional cyclist who has raced with and against some of the biggest names in cycling history. Utilizing all the skills and grit polished through his years as a professional cyclist, Brian turned his talents to coaching and building teams and quickly established a reputation for excellence across a multitude of disciplines and was named the USA Cycling Developmental Coach of the Year. When he co-founded Walton Endurance in 2012, his vision was to make world-class coaching accessible to athletes of all ability levels. His success in taking average athletes and propelling them to the highest level in their sport has been overwhelming. His range in coaching is extensive, with a winning portfolio that has covered US cycling teams, Ironman World Championship qualifiers, Olympians, Race Across America champions and the U.S. Marine Corps National Triathlon and Marathon Teams. Innovation has always been a driving force throughout Brian’s career as an athlete, coach, and entrepreneur. He has not only trained world class athletes to the highest levels, but he has also changed corporate culture by utilizing the bicycle to create positive change. His tremendous positive impact on corporate culture began in 2013 when he led and coached 4 BMS employees and a staff in Race Across America. The team far exceeded their expectations, finishing 3rd in their category and winning the “Unstoppable” award. In 2014, he organized and successfully led Bristol-Myers Squibb’s (BMS) sales staff across the United States on their bikes to raise money for cancer research. This ride was labeled Coast 2 Coast 4 Cancer (C2C4C) and in its first year raised over $1 million dollars for cancer research. Since that inaugural event BMS has asked Brian to replicate C2C4C in Europe and Asia. In each location, success has abounded and millions of dollars has been raised for cancer research. BMS is now utilizing this annual event to motivate their employees, provide a platform for a holistic healthy lifestyle and as a recruiting tool for their organization. Through Brian’s leadership, Walton Endurance has established itself as the premier organization for dynamic change in corporate fitness and team building.
