I am one of the practice leaders of the Global Equity Services (GES) Practice at Baker & McKenzie, the largest and oldest international law firm in the world. Our GES Practice assists multinational companies on all legal, regulatory and tax aspects associated with the design, implementation and operation of global equity compensation plans (stock options, restricted stock and RSUs, ESPPs) and other short-term and long-term incentive compensation arrangements. We advise on securities law and exchange control requirements, labor and employment issues, data privacy implications and tax considerations from the perspective of both the employer and the award recipient. During my 19 years at Baker & McKenzie, I also have advised companies operating internationally on the compensation, benefits and employment/labor issues arising in the context of corporate transactions (mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and IPOs) and post-closing HR integration efforts.Prior to becoming a lawyer, I was a CPA and corporate tax advisor at Sara Lee Corporation and Price Waterhouse (currently PwC).
Listed skills include Global Equity Services, Equity Compensation Securities Offerings, International Law, Cross Border Transactions, and 11 others.
