I operate within the Division of Student Development as part of the Health Promotion and Education Team to develop and promote wellness programs on campus according to our strategic plan.Current projects include a literature review on smoking cessation evidence-based practices in higher education and coordinating Mental Health and First Aid training for students, faculty, and staff. I also lead a team of undergraduate health peer educators and assist with administrative tasks.

I worked as project manager at the MedGlobal clinic in La Parada, a quarter mile from the Colombia-Venezuela border. I conducted a critical needs assessment of Venezuelan migrants coming through the site to access food, water, or medical care, listening to their stories and collecting data to inform the services MedGlobal offers. Living in Cúcuta for a month, I administered surveys, connected with community partners, and became familiar with the geopolitical landscape of the region. I also to worked remotely to develop health communication materials for the site, assist with data entry and analysis, and create a final report of our research.

Oversaw all operations at the Simon Recreation Center during shift including staff management, facility maintenance and reservations, and handling any incidents that occurred.

Maintained facility cleanliness and managed security at entrances.

Supported the international surgical teams traveling to Latin America with medical supply management, coordinating flight itineraries, and preparing post-travel reports.

I worked with community partners to connect Spanish-speaking clients to resources in the City of Chicago such as legal, financial, health, and housing services. I also accompanied clients to court or other appointments to provide comfort and guidance. As part of this internship program, I also participated in spiritual development and leadership training with the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Joseph.

Managed the outdoor patio during the busy summer season, providing high-quality customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Prepared and served meals, building relationships with residents and working to provide the best possible service amidst severe understaffing and many director-level leadership changes.

Worked in the Life Enrichment department at Harbor Chase of Naperville in both the Assisted Living and Memory Care units.
