As the Group Human Resources Manager, I was a Member of the Senior Management team, with responsibility for the overall management of the Human Resources and Training functions. In addition to managing the Human Resources and Training functions, I was also involved in strategic and operational Human Resources projects/tasks on a day-to-day basis. During my time at Hunting Energy Services, I progressed through a number of roles, from Human Resources Officer to HSE and Training Coordinator to HR and HSE Manager, to Strategic Resource Manager to Group Strategic Resources Manager to Group Human Resources Manager as I gained more experience/met the changing requirements of the Company. Although the emphasis of my last position at Hunting was on managing the Human Resources and Training functions and developing a proactive Human Resources Department, supporting SMT, managers and employees to meet the Company's objectives, I gained experience in the full range of Human Resources functions: development and implementation of policies and procedures; recruitment and selection; employee relations, including working with unions; grievance and discipline; performance appraisal and management; advising managers and employees on Human Resources policies, procedures and good practice and employment law; delivering management training on key Human Resources' policies, procedures and practices; managing in a downturn; mergers and TUPE; redundancy etc.Key roles during this position included:- Member of the SMT- Project Leader for the merging of three divisions in one location, responsible for ensuring that key actions and regular and appropriate communication took place during the course of the project

Demanding role affiliated to the Human Resources Department during which I was involved in the following functions: employee induction; mentoring; design and delivery of a cross-College staff development programme; advising and guiding employees in employment law, especially equality and diversity; discipline and grievance and other aspects of employee relations; design and management of the performance management scheme and job evaluation. Key roles during this position included:- Chairperson of the Equal Opportunities Monitoring Group- Member of the due diligence team (looking at Human Resources processes and practices when the College considered merging with another local college)- Project leader on two national equality and diversity projects- Member of a team which prepared the College for an employment tribunal- Led the College in staff development and equality and diversity in the College inspection and two IiP accreditations.
