Lead Elementary School Counselor
Current• RAMP Recognized Counseling Program (Recognized ASCA Model Program)• Plans, evaluates, and revises annual school counseling program to make data driven decisions to support the goals and action plans of the counseling program.• Works in alignment with the ASCA Mindsets & Behaviors for student success and Multi-Tiered, Multi-Domain System of Supports model.• Provides Tier 1 core counseling classroom lessons, in addition to Tier 2 interventions and Tier 3 supports.• Collaborates with other educators, parents, and key stakeholders to implement developmentally appropriate core counseling curriculum to support student knowledge and skills in the areas of academic, social emotional and college/career.• Communicate with administrators, teachers and staff, students, parents, and the community regarding the school counseling program and its role in the educational program. • Consult and collaborate with families to assist with concerns and decisions directly related to student achievement, college/career readiness, and social-emotional wellbeing.• Conduct structured, solution-focused, individual, small, and large group counseling sessions to assist students in exploring, interpreting, and developing personal decision-making competencies, to enhance self-esteem and self-understanding; develop academic, career and personal/social life plans.• Participate as a member of site and district leadership teams.
