The Indiana Latino Coalition Against Domestic & Sexual Violence is a statewide nonprofit organization that provides support and advocacy to Latino victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. As a Corporate Partnership Consultant I was responsible for identifying and cultivating partnerships and securing funding with government, non-profit and private sector stakeholders. I assisted in creating marketing materials and securing keynote speakers and presenters for the 2017 Statewide Annual Conference.

As a Congressional Intern at the U.S. House of Representatives I acted as first line of interaction for constituents contacting the Congressional office via phone or in person and served as an office representative by conducting Capital Tours and attending briefings, committee hearings and meetings. In addition, I assisted legislative staff with research on key legislation and potential bill cosponsors, and to efficiently execute the office mail program by recording incoming mail and phone calls into IQ, draft letters and perform first edits of mail.

I developed a database of over 2,000 government, non-profit and private sector contacts, in addition to the facilitation of workshops focused on disadvantaged women and the coordination of logistics for the 2013 Latino Coalition’s Annual Conference.
