Mary works at the intersection of partnerships, social impact and culture. She’s worked on initiatives including Disney’s Dream Big Princess campaign; Covid-19 Solidarity Response Fund; Red Nose Day’s the Sandbox; Open Society Foundation’s Ukraine Democracy Fund, and United Nations Foundation’s signature gender equality campaign #EqualEverywhere. She co-founded the strategic advisory firm, the Eliasson Group and has worked with clients including Southwest Airlines, CBS, UNESCO, H&M Foundation, McCain Institute at Arizona State University, Pan-American Development Foundation, the Ad Council, Freedom House, Good/Upworthy and the Drum Major Institute, an initiative founded by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Previously, Mary served as the head of Brand Development at Single Stop, the only non-profit to be incubated and spun out of the Robin Hood Foundation. Single Stop earned two White House Social Innovation Grants and was named one of Fast Company’s most Innovative Companies during her tenure. Prior to Single Stop, Mary led strategic partnerships and cause-marketing campaigns at United Way of New York City managing the first hip hop shows at Carnegie Hall in partnership with Jay Z and the Shawn Carter Scholarship Foundation to raise funds for college and career readiness programs; “What’s On the Table?” an initiative to combat hunger in New York City in partnership with Tom Colicchio, Christy Turlington-Burns, Thrillist and the Wall Street Journal; the Hurricane Sandy Recovery Fund which coordinated response funds across 13 affected states; and READ NYC, a 5,000-person festival on early-grade reading in partnership with Sesame Workshop, Target, Scholastic and the Barclays Center. Mary also led the NYC chapter of the Women’s Leadership Council (now Women United), a network of women philanthropists. Mary began her career at the Atlantic Council leading global marketing and communications efforts including the Black Sea Energy and Economic Forum; Distinguished Global Leadership Awards; and the Global Citizen Awards.She is a member of the United Nations World Food Program USA’s Communications Advisory Board.
