As procurement manager, I was responsible for managing the end to end logistics for our entire product line. Achievements: • Led initiatives to shift from purchasing teas from local wholesalers to buying directly from their country of origin. This created savings of up to 70% and elevated Tea Craft from a reseller to a national distributor• Analysed company processes and identified opportunities to outsource labour in order to reduce COGS for Tea Craft’s best-selling product by up to 35%• Researched and acquired new recyclable packaging that aligned with Tea Craft’s environmental goals, strengthened the brand image while also reducing annual packaging costs by 40%• Procured extremely rare tea products from South Korea by networking with growers to secure exclusive supply and establish Tea Craft as the only Australian importer of these products• Launched research projects with NATA approved laboratories, to establish company quality standards and audit products from prospective suppliers to ensure they complied with these strict requirements
