Some of my duties include constant networking with different clubs and fraternities, attending recruiting events, and searching for potential candidates. Through my hard work, I was able to introduce five Mason students that have secured positions with the company.

As an Audit Intern with Kearney & Company, I was sent on an engagement to facilitate an audit for a government agency. I was assigned the same responsibilities as an entry-level Staff I Auditor, some of which included executing fraud interviews, leading walkthroughs, and hyperlinking work papers. I was responsible for the A/R, A/P, and Grants processes and made sure they were accomplished before all deadlines. Along with the duties that coincided with the engagement, completing an intern community service project was also accomplished. Alongside the other interns, multiple events were planned to raise funds for the nonprofit organization, PeacePlayers International. My ability to come up with fun and interesting ideas while paying attention to low cost activities gave me the opportunity to personally plan the event that produced the highest donation.

As the Supervisor of the Entertaining department, I was responsible for merchandising and creating unique displays to keep the section up to date with all new items and schematics. Constant change was imperative in order to incorporate the changing styles of the seasons. The attractive displays I designed brought these trends straight to the customer. As the Manager on Duty, I was accountable for overseeing the activities of team members in order to maintain an effective and cost efficient workplace. The development of employees was an important role and was utilized through weekly evaluations. I conducted interviews for job candidates on a frequent basis to maintain a positive flow of valuable and motivated employees. Weekly projects were accomplished through delegation and follow ups to ensure the store was current in all aspects whether it be operational or on the floor. Opening and closing the store were among my duties, and I accomplished these each day with careful accounting of cash deposits and attention to detail when filling out daily paperwork. Break and daily project schedules were completed each day to guarantee pertinent coverage at all times and to evenly allocate the workload to each individual.
