Engineering & Ehs Technician

When the oil market went through a downtown in early 2015, I was reassigned from Noble Energy's frac department to the newly formed "RISE" Department. RISE means Reduction in Storage Tank Emissions. I worked between several different sub-departments within RISE. We had LDAR (Leak Detection & Repair), STEM (Storage Tank Emissions Management), P&A / Reclamation and Base Sub Ops which were our non-completions workover rigs. My primary duties in this role were:*Developing and Presenting Monthly Safety Meetings to STEM, LDAR, P&A and Workover Departments*Technical writing of policies and procedures for RISE Shut-In Process, Quality Assurance Leak Testing, Wellhead Lockout/Tagout, etc*Leading Committee member for DJ Basin Energy Isolation (LO/TO) and Excavation and Trenching Policy Development & Implementation*Created and implemented tracking process for locations required to be shut in under Noble Energy’s Consent Decree to keep in compliance and avoid fines. Also prepared reports for the Denver Production team detailing production loss of such sites (Merrick software Experience)*Managed LDAR Quality Control Program which provided 3rd party audits of Noble inspectors*Handled FLIR camera fleet (inventory, calibrations and troubleshooting)*Provide field safety supervision and oversight to 10 STEM roustabout crews; 1000 day, 500,000 hour record of no injuries*Recently compiled and organized all reclamation data; developed sustainable plan for program which includes landowner relations with respect to reclamations, inspections, required work on site (mowing, spraying for noxious weeds), submitting Form 4 sundry notices to the COGCC and tracking their inspections that have occurred, along with their random inspections throughout the cycle of a reclamation. And of course, tracking of all information in Siteview. I also briefly trained on performing field inspections of reclamation sites and am familiar with noxious weed species identification.

When I resigned from the rig moving company I worked at, I went to work for Noble Energy as an EHS Technician. I saw a lot of wonderful change at Noble during this role, that contributed to a strong culture of safety among all workers today. I did MANY different tasks during this time. Whatever needed done, I would get done. My primary duties were:• Extensive work in ISNetworld from the beginning of the contract request process to the end and continued to follow up with vendors on EHS performance, safety programs, and evaluations (ISNetworld trained “Super-User”)• Managed PPE selection and inventory; purchasing and issuing to field employees• Implemented and managed large safety initiatives; Cartasite/ROVR vehicle devices, Industrial Scientific Gas Monitors, Cintas FR program• Ensuring compliance with all OSHA and Noble recordkeeping and general requirements; orientations, safety meetings, vehicle inspections, etc.• Organizing and implementing all safety training initiatives for 500+ employees including evaluating 3rd party trainers and negotiating price and availability (1st Aid CPR, Driver Training, Rigging, Fall Protection, H2S Awareness, Hazwoper, and other specialty training)• Managed vendor hours database to achieve accurate injury rates• Field visits 2-3 times per week to develop safe partnerships between Noble and contractors (pipeline focus)• Logistics coordinator and speaker for yearly EHS Contractor Symposium eventsNote: Just prior to beginning this role, I worked for 4 months as a Contract Worker at Noble Energy in the Supply Chain Management/Procurement Department. I processed and wrote material transaction forms into perpetual inventories managed in Excel and Oracle Applications and achieved twice as fast entry rate over Denver. I managed and balanced the daily inventory as well as participated in a quarterly physical inventory count of equipment and pipe.
