I managed the team of producers, hosts and engineers responsible for producing morning drive programs on the top two public radio stations in the country, WNYC and Classical 105.9 FM WQXR. We aired three simultaneous streams of programing every weekday including Morning Edition on 93.9 FM, the most listened-to public radio news program in the country; The Takeaway on AM 820, a unique conversation driven program that's a co-production of PRI (Public Radio International) and WNYC along with the BBC World Service, The New York Times and WGBH Boston. For Classical 105.9 WQXR, my team produces a mix of news and culture content. I also produced and directed a variety of special programing for breaking news. My goal was always to provide the best possible information with urgency and context, working with the resources in our newsroom, creating partnerships with other trusted sources and engaging with the audience.

In April 2008, some smart, creative radio producers launched a new morning program. The goal was a format that engaged public radio listeners, and non-public radio listeners alike. It's conversational and unconventional. The show is a co-production of WNYC, WGBH Radio Boston, the BBC and The New York Times. I had the opportunity to work with a talented host at WNYC to create the local content at the show's flagship station. We crafted our own style of newscast content, plus feature content that fit the sound and format of the show.
