Employment laws and regulations are complex and constantly evolving at the federal, state and local levels. I work with businesses and HR Professionals to develop cost-effective programs to remain legally compliant, manage risk, avoid litigation, if possible, and resolve disputes through mediation, hearing and trial when necessary. I advise clients on all aspects of employment laws and regulations impacting their industry and workplace, including how and why to protect business trade secrets, to prevent unfair competition, to properly classify workers and pay wages (wage and hour), to implement fair employment practices (discrimination and harassment), to hire, discipline, and terminate employment, and to train management and staff on personnel policies and procedures. When litigation is unavoidable, I work closely with my clients to protect their interests and advocate for a just outcome to achieve their personal and business goals.Brigid is a board member of The Ohio Association of Civil Trial Attorneys (OACTA), chairs OACTA's Employment Law Committee, and co-chairs the OACTA Foundation Charity Golf Committe.
