• 2022 delegate at the Oxford Institute's conference. Trained in trauma-informed interviewing and participated in workshops covering post-conflict GBV, the ethics of narrative, and peacebuilding before conducting narrative fieldwork in Northern Ireland. • Edited interviews and liaised with interviewers under the supervision of Dr. Lyn Boyd-Judson to contribute to a database of women’s narratives that storytellers, policymakers, scholars, lawyers, and human rights advocates can use to affect change.

Free Expression Program: Writers at Risk• Worked closely and collaboratively with the Free Expression at Risk Program director Dr. Karin Karlekar on casework and conducting research on writers facing severe threats globally.• Researched, organised, and analysed information to help create a new database to monitor writers at risk worldwide.• Assisted in researching, drafting, and editing the inaugural Freedom to Write Index, a report published alongside the new database (linked below).• Drafted press statements related to key cases and free expression developments.• Helped track individual cases, updating information in PEN America databases and for the PEN website.

• Conducted research for the advocacy team on UK hate crime/hate speech laws and journalistic protections in UK legislation (PACE and RIPA).• Assisted in organising a lecture with UN Special Rapporteur on freedom of opinion and expression David Kaye.• Assisted in organising a magazine launch for 100+ guests for the summer magazine issue (JUDGED: How governments use power to undermine justice and freedom).

The Safety Net Project helps clients attain stability, dignity, and financial security by providing pro-bono representation in disability claims with Social Security. • Conducted new client intake in English and Spanish.• Interviewed and advised clients.• Communicated with the Social Security Administration, medical providers, and clients to compile evidentiary records and prepare for upcoming hearings.• Translated intake materials and self-representation guide into Spanish.• Organised case files.• Attended MCLE conference in February 2019 on Income Maximization for the Working Poor.
