I am an educator at Richland School District Two, where I design and teach a digital arts curriculum to middle school students at E. L. Wright. I use various tools and software to help students create visual projects and portfolios that showcase their creativity and skills. I also collaborate with other teachers and staff to create cross-curricular lessons in digital art, such as history, math, science, and literature; enhancing students' learning and engagement.With a Master of Arts in Illustration from Savannah College of Art and Design, I have a passion for illustrating and designing, especially for educational and cultural purposes. I have completed a curator internship at Hawaiian Mission Houses Historic Site and Archives, where I assisted with exhibit design and installation, as well as museum education programs. Additionally, I am a published book illustrator, having illustrated books for children and adults, as well as editorial materials. I enjoy combining my artistic talents and teaching abilities to inspire and empower students to express themselves through digital art. Possess computer science education training in robotics and coding, through the Computer Science Teacher Association, which is currently integrated into my digital art curriculum. Additionally, I provide a Lego Robotics after-school club and am a member of the Richland Two Innovators group of educators.
