I provide in person and remote reference and research help to the College of Law Research Center patrons - students, faculty, and the public. In addition to assisting with professional and scholarly research projects, I create legal research workshops, video tutorials, instruction sessions, and research guides. I also oversee the Interlibrary Loan services at the Research Center.

I design and teach various courses in-person and online in the Communications and Humanities Division. Designing these courses requires compliance with college policies, missions, and goals as well as adherence to statewide standards and laws.

This internship is designed to provide training in the specific skills and abilities required for art librarianship including collection development and maintenance, reference, and instruction. Projects include the processing and collecting of bibliographic information of donations, writing, editing, and maintaining LibGuides on art and architecture-related subjects, creating workshops and educational packets for student instruction sessions, and repairing and preserving old or damaged books. Additional projects and tasks may be assigned to help prepare the intern for the field of art librarianship.

This position includes practical archival experience through the arrangement, description, and metadata creation for items and collections. Work is project based and may occurs in Strozier Library Special Collections (rare books and manuscripts), Heritage Protocol (FSU archives & history), the Pepper Library (manuscript collections) or Cataloging & Description. The position also has opportunities for creating both physical and online exhibits, working with software such as Omeka, Archon, digital asset management systems and metadata and collections cataloging. The position requires assisting in providing reference services to patrons in Special Collections, creating research guides, and working on other projects designed to improve access to unique collections.

In this internship I worked primarily in circulation and reference where I gained experience conducting reference interviews and helping patrons meet their information needs. I also used the automated library system, Aleph, where I checked in and out materials. Additionally, in this internship I participated in various projects relating to collections management, such as evaluating materials when weeding and deaccessioning items from the collection.

This position was split between two departments: Records Management and the Florida Memory Project. In Records Management I worked independently to process the newly accessioned Patricia Stephens Due collection. I established intellectual control over the collection by going through the contents to learn the material's scope and range while removing hardware and unfolding pages. I arranged the collection by re-foldering the documents into acid free folders, re-boxed the folders into acid free containers. And I described the collection by writing the finding aide and cataloging the information into the archives' database. In the Florida Memory department I digitized the first volume of the Florida Automobile Registration log from 1905 to 1917. While digitally scanning the pages I transcribed and indexed the contents which were then uploaded onto the Omeka website. I was also a regular contributor to the State Archives Facebook page and wrote the articles Florida's First Automobiles and Welcome to Dunedin for the Florida Memory Blog.

The teller supervisor performs all the regular duties of the teller such as accepting deposits, withdrawals, and payments, changing money, printing cashier's checks, balancing drawers, and providing excellent customer service. Additionally, the supervisor is responsible for auditing all of the teller drawers, vault, and ATM, which requires attention to detail and organizational skills. The teller supervisor also handles all cash orders and shipments which are to be approved by the operations manager. The teller supervisor is responsible for delegating tasks to the other tellers, handling customer service issues when needed, and ensuring the overall smooth functioning of the teller line. This position involved the necessary skills of leadership, detail-orientation, and accuracy when dealing with private and confidential information. In addition to the role of supervisor I also served as ProBank's outreach coordinator for a time, which involved organizing the annual food drive, coordinating with third-party organizations, and composing press releases. Lastly, in this position I was a member of the social media management team, authored the social media posting procedures, and contributed to the Facebook and Twitter feeds.
