About Brittany Bennett

I am an aspiring Master's student with a passion for social justice advocacy and human rights policy. Previous experience as a Co-Founder of a collaborative group called Advocates for a Student Culture of Consent (ASCC) while attending Wilfrid Laurier University (WLU) has led me to complete some of my greatest accomplishments. To name a few, I am proud to have co-led campus initiatives preventing, responding to, and educating on sexual and gendered violence, including co-authoring WLU's very first sexual violence policy and procedures. Another key moment in my life where I gained a multitude of experiences and accomplishments was while working for a human rights non-governmental organization in Ghana called, The Street Children Empowerment Foundation (SCEF). Some of the qualities I have proven through my work are motivation, optimism and initiative.
