I am a Senior at American University in Washington, D.C. I spent last fall studying and working abroad in Nairobi, Kenya. While there I studied primary education, special education, and Kenyan Sign Language. Currently, I am majoring in International Education and Anthropology. I am very interested in general primary education, the deaf and hard of hearing, children with disabilities, cultural classrooms, and using art as a way to teach. I have an extensive background in theatre and drama as well as dance, choir and piano. I am currently training my dog, Atlas, to be a PTDS service dog. I hope to continue working in education and expand my horizons to include education through the media and building a cultural classroom.
