Training included reactor, electrical, and mechanical theory, industrial safety, casualty response and basic maintenance and troubleshooting.Completed Submarine Officer Basic Course from April 2018 through June 2018. Training included basic navigation, sonar, radar, contact triage, contact management and ship piloting.– Experienced in training on technical and organizational topics, both in formal and “on the job” settings.Mentored junior officers in professional development, leading to the warfare qualification of six junior officers.Commended as performing on the level of a seasoned Department Head in a recent evaluation.

Supervised and maintained USS NEBRASKA's Quality Assurance program through a refit, underway and Voyage Repair Period. Certified over three dozen maintenance jobs for meeting SUBSAFE, LEVEL 1, or Nuclear criteria, ensuring NEBRASKA's maintenance practices met all standardized requirements to ensure safe operations at sea and ashore. Managed the qualification and training of dozens of sailors in Quality Assurance practices.

Led a division of over ten individuals in preparation for a refit period, reviewing Quality Assurance packages for work on high energy systems such as high pressure air, trim and drain systems and the emergency diesel generator. Completed all major maintenance items including refurbishments on high pressure ship's air systems that required passing of dew points on schedule, allowing the NEBRASKA to be one of the few boats on the waterfront to deploy on schedule in 2019.

Successfully led the Reactor Laboratory division of the USS NEBRASKA through an Operational Reactor Safeguards Examination while rebuilding the Radiological Controls Audit and Surveillance Program and completing a strategic patrol with zero incident reports or chemistry out-of-specifications. Led a division of six individuals and assisted in the management of a reactor chemistry plan and major maintenance procedures to include a Special Radiochemistry Sample.

Oversaw complex maintenance evolutions in preparation for the decommissioning of the USS BREMERTON. Led a division of over ten people, successfully completing several maintenance tasks and the transition from an at-sea command to shipyard work.

Excelled in the Naval Nuclear Program training pipeline, allowing for acceptance into the Fiscal Year 2013 Seaman to Admiral 21 ascension program.Attended Oregon State University as one of a handful of active duty students attached to the NROTC unit, mentoring midshipmen while obtaining a degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering.Served as Active Duty Liaison and Supply Officer while attached to the Oregon State NROTC battalion. I also served in leadership positions during my training in A School and Nuclear Power School in Charleston, SC. While Supply Officer I worked to expand the merchandise program for fund-raising for the NROTC battalion, ultimately increasing the sales for the Ship Store by hundreds of dollars annually. As Active Duty Liaison I worked to integrate new active duty students into the battalion as well as finalizing a contract with Levy Restaurants for football game concession fund-raising.
