As team lead for the Bureau of Coastal Managements Compliance Section I directly supervise the compliance staff in the Myrtle Beach, Charleston and Beaufort offices. I aim to provide our team with the training, knowledge and skills to be successful in their roles as Compliance Project Managers for BCM. Additionally, I cover a small geographic area in which I still conduct on-site assessments, complete thorough reviews of past site history and provide the responsible party with the appropriate directive on how to return their site to compliance through the Departments compliance assistance process.

As a Compliance Project Manager with the Office of Ocean and Coastal Resource Management I ensure any activities conducted within the Departments direct permitting jurisdiction are in compliance with the Coastal Division Regulations and S.C. Tidelands and Wetlands Act. I conduct routine inspections and respond to complaints within the beachfront critical areas as well as the coastal and tidelands critical areas. Property owners are then followed up with accordingly should corrective action to return their property to compliance be required through the Departments compliance assistance process.
