My passion is creating new partnerships and inspiring people to support communtiy initiatives. Finding ways to live in harmony with our whenua, buying local, supporting community gardens and socially responsible events, and educating young people about composting, eating and growing healthy kai are some of the exciting aspects of my role. I also support a team to create content for the Sustainable Taranaki website, work with a team of people to support the mission of Sustainable Taranaki, and implement marketing and social media to increase our audience and maintain engagement in our community. I also write articles for local publications highlighting the efforts of people or organisations going above and beyond for our environment.

I led meetings and held events to promote Taranaki Timebank and bring people in our community from all backgrounds closer together.

As a horticulture student, I'm gaining first-hand experience with plant propagation, seed raising, pest control, and weed identification. We learn at various locations around New Plymouth to expand our horizons in the horticulture field and deepen our understanding of concepts learned as theory.

This is a volunteer position in which I am responsible for the updating of social media as well as performing market research on behalf of Community in Action, a grass-roots NGO that seeks to bring volunteers to Rio de Janeiro in order to realize progress in sustainable development amongst the favelas in Brazil.

This is my first full-time position post graduation. I interned with the Hershey Company at its main headquarters, both 14E and 100 Crystal A, for two semesters as an International Financial Planning Intern under the direction of Ken Gies and Sue Stumpf.
