    Constructed and managed an empirical study of the intergenerational effects of trauma on at-risk offspring using REDCap, a secure online data management program. Secured research funding from Emory for this project. Contributed to development, data collection, and data analysis involved in several empirical studies (Research Study of Sleep and Neural Activity, Research Study of Neurodevelopmental Outcomes Following Prenatal Exposure to Atypical Antipsychotics; Research Study of Emotional Reactivity of Children with Severe Conduct Disorder). Conducted fMRI scans on children between the ages of 7 and 12. Used magnetic resonance spectroscopy to acquire information regarding neural differences in children. Administered N-back, go-no-go, and memory tasks via e-prime computer software. Used zeo sleep monitor and actigraph monitor to measure children’s sleep patterns and sleep quality over one week. Obtained saliva samples for oxytocin analysis. Conducted normed assessments of cognitive, social, emotional, and executive functioning of at-risk children, as well as semi-structured clinical interviews assessing current and prior psychological functioning of mothers in our sample. Collaborated with colleagues in the Department of Psychiatry on a large-scale study examining the effects of psychotropic medications taken during pregnancy on child development. Collaborated with faculty on a study exploring the relationships among maternal psychopathic traits, parenting, and child psychopathic traits. Reported research findings in several manuscripts and at several professional conferences (e.g., American Psychology-Law Society Conference in Puerto Rico).
