Brittany Crone, a proud Naptown native, is a dedicated advocate for equitable and inclusive communities. Throughout her diverse career, Brittany has navigated both the private and public sectors. Her experience spans Bilingual Communications, non-profit community service, public health, mental health and wellness services, and local government. In June 2023, Brittany was appointed as the Director of Community Outreach, where she leads the Mayor's Neighborhood Advocate program and the Mayor's Action Center. Her journey with the City of Indianapolis began in 2021 when she served as a Mayor’s Neighborhood Advocate for downtown and the near Westside. In September of 2022, she was promoted to Chief Communications Officer for the Office of Public Health and Safety. Brittany studied psychology at IUPUI and is a certified peer support counselor with the IU School of Medicine PACER project. Her work with PACER project focuses on creating more opportunities for mental health access within African American, Latinx American, and multiple immigrant communities in Indianapolis.Outside of her professional roles, Brittany actively contributes to her community. She serves as the Secretary of the Board of Naptown United, a downtown-serving soccer league, and as a board member of the Friends of Belmont Beach and Patchwork Indy. In her free time, Brittany dedicates herself to volunteer work. She contributes to organizations such as Wheeler Mission and her church. As a certified Woman Within circle facilitator, she supports emotional wellness among women. Additionally, she co-facilitates a Multiculturalism Monthly discussion group, focusing on addressing issues and 'isms' stemming from systems of oppression in the United States. Beyond her professional and community commitments, Brittany enjoys exploring the outdoors and Indiana with her two daughters and spouse. She's passionate about performing arts, sharing the Gospel, and experiencing new cultures through travel. Brittany Crone is driven by her unwavering commitment to making a positive impact on her community and the world. Her career, education, and volunteer experiences have equipped her with a unique skill set and perspective that she brings to every endeavor.
