In this capacity, I plan, develop, and direct the implementation of goals, policies, and procedures for economic development programs and services for the City of Bozeman, Montana. I oversee departmental and Urban Renewal District budgets, and provide mediation services, often between divergent parties, to assess needs and strategize solutions. Samples of successful projects include the facilitation of commercial development projects, the Yellowstone Fiber Optic Initiative, sector development programs in high-growth potential sectors including photonics and optics, quantum computing, bioscience, and the outdoor industry, and the creation and management of four urban renewal districts and the City's housing program. Additionally, I supervise the City's Economic Development Team and mentor staff and colleagues.

In my role as Specialized Legal Assistant I gained foundational knowledge of the institution of the United Nations and its various Secretariats, departments and general functionalities. I also gained valuable experience working in a successful, team-oriented, deadline-driven and multi-cultural environment. In this capacity, I was responsible for general claims management, including the F Team's claims for environmental damage, claims archiving, the organization and facilitation of quarterly or monthly meetings of panels of Commissioners, drafting correspondence, reports and meeting minutes and providing panel meeting follow-up services in support of the team. This work demanded a firm understanding of environmental valuation methodologies, strong communication and organizational skills, professional initiative, and the ability to work collaboratively with other members of the team as well as a strong commitment to meeting established deadlines.
