Brittiny Bennett is experienced in environmental management during coastal and offshore projects. She has coordinated and managed teams of protected species observers (PSO) for various projects. Offshore, she has worked as a marine wildlife monitor, protected species observer, marine mammal observer and passive acoustic monitoring (PAM) operator for various projects in the northwest Atlantic, eastern Atlantic, Caribbean, Gulf of Mexico and the Pacific. In coastal areas, she has served as a marine wildlife monitor, protected species observer and aerial observer for projects in Florida and a river seismic survey in Suriname. She is skilled in marine mammal and sea turtle observation, passive acoustic monitoring, aerial observation and night vision monitoring (night vision goggles and infrared cameras). Brittiny Bennett was co-author of the OCS Study BOEM 2012-015 entitled “Seismic Survey Mitigation Measures and Marine Mammal Observer Reports,” and is contributed to another BOEM OCS Study. She was also instrumental in developing an interactive Global Regulatory Database (GRD) in which she researched the various mitigation procedures and best practices in place for the seismic industry around the world to make regulatory compliance methods more accessible for seismic operators.
