Started as a customer service representative. In customer service, I was given several tasks such as answering emails and phone calls, tracking customers' orders, placing orders over the phone, creating exchanges, and issuing returns. After 8 months I was promoted to work in the DKOldies social media department. I received this promotion due to my hard work and dedication at DKOldies, along with my Graphic Design background.While in Social Media Department I was placed into various roles.These roles included editing photos, taking photos of people and products, starring in videos, and editing videos. I help with content posting across multiple platforms such as TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube.When scheduling content I would cater to each video by making a custom thumbnail, title, hashtags, and description. For Photos, we would ask questions or state retro gaming facts to create engagement for our posts. When taking photos, I use eye-catching methods to capture people’s attention. These methods included colors, framing, frame focus, and lighting. During the editing process, it is essential to use the correct scaling/dimensions for each platform to avoid pixel blur or any unintentional cropping. Giving it a picture-perfect look.For video and photo editing software I would use Adobe Premier and Photoshop. My skill level in Adobe Photoshop is proficient. For Adobe Premier It would be Intermediate levels.

Position requirements include the following. Opening and closing the store according to company procedures, answering store phones, and guiding customers to the best solution.I assist customers daily by helping them find the perfect phone or by paying their bills. I would get to know them by asking a series of questions. This helped me guide customers in discovering the perfect phone. Whether it is something more advanced like a Samsung Galaxy s20 or a basic flip phone. It was important to find a phone that the customer was happy with. I was tasked with pitching current deals on devices and reaching store sales goals. The company would hold contests to meet goals to motivate employees. One month I was in the top percentage for goals met and received gift cards totaling $500.Handled cash daily by ensuring the store opened with the proper amount of funds, handling cash payments along closing out the till at the end of the day. Make weekly visits to the bank to receive change and to drop off deposits. Later on, this process was changed to be done online.

I first started at JCPenney as a store associate and after working hard I was offered a position of Merchandise Assistant. My responsibilities included getting products out promptly, setting up displays, setting up mannequins, changing display signs, helping manage store associates, opening and closing the store, cash handling, customer service experience, and much more.
