ABOUT ME:I am currently an uncertified veterinary technician with 6 years of experience in the animal welfare industry. Animals are my passion and I love working in an environment where I get to better their lives. I am a relationship-oriented individual that enjoys working collaboratively in a team environment. I have experience working closely with diverse perspectives and have volunteer experience in the nonprofit children and undergraduate sector, particularly in the team leadership and DEI realm. In the animal welfare industry, I have client relations and communication experience with not only education but also in facilitating long-lasting relationships. It is through my time in both nonprofit work as well as my recent work in a small town veterinary clinic that I have been able to develop fast-acting problem-solving skills and a proficiency in community outreach.BACKGROUND:I graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder in 2020 with a degree in biology and business as I have a passion for not only helping others but also for facilitating the technical side of veterinary businesses. Through my education, I have developed the organizational, research-oriented, and analytical skills needed to multitask as well as work efficiently when needed. My time at Leeds School of Business allowed me to not only network within the business sphere, but also gain practical knowledge of what it takes to start a business as well as sell yourself and your product. GOALS:I am currently enrolled as a dual MBA and DVM student at Colorado State University, a program accepting only five applicants each year. I am excited to be a part of the class of 2026 at a prestigious veterinary university. I am working to develop a way to merge my passion for both business and veterinary medicine in the animal welfare industry. I look forward to developing my knowledge in both of these core areas as well as gaining more practical hands-on experience to leverage my skillset to benefit the lives of people and pets.
