I oversaw the launch of a new training and recruitment program that targets civic minded progressive citizens.Our goal is to train individuals with a desire to serve the public by running for office or pursuing a board or committee appointment.Preparing candidates to run creates stronger candidates and strengthens our chances of creating a more diverse and inclusive body of representatives at the state, county and local levels of government.-Coordinated three-day Wellstone Action endorsed training for over 100 attendees-Scheduled and hosted technical assistance webinar series on nuances of running for public office-Launched ongoing Urban Habitat training for Boards and Commissions applicants in Baltimore City.

As the Upstate liason to NY Renews, a statewide coalition created to pass progressive legislation that aggressively addresses climate change with renewable energy solutions, I implemented cmapaign strategy across 36 counties. I worked with elected and appointed officials as well as environmental groups, community organizations, organized labor and racial and economic justice advocacy groups to do the following:- Pass resolutions and legislation in various municipalities that support NY Renews and address environmental issues.-Educate the public about climate justice and environmental issues-Engage groups with various bases to incorporate environmental advocacy -Lobby state electeds to support NY Renews bills-Grow the NY Renews coalition to ensure diverse representation based on demographics.
