I am a December 2020 graduate from Texas Christian University in the Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a Minor in Urban Studies program. Courses such as International Politics, Global Issues, Comparative Politics, and Urban Geography have led me to pursue a career that engages local/global communities.In the field I was able to study abroad twice with one program in Panama and another program in South Africa. The program in South Africa was my most notable experience as I emerged myself in a country with 11 official languages and took classes that examined its political, social, and economical issues on a multidisciplinary focus. On campus I was a Supervisor at the TCU Recreation Center where I was able to build my communication skills dealing with thousands of members per day as well as develop strong problem solving skills as the job was very fast-paced. For United Fort Worth, I engaged and equipped neighbors by discussing current issues they had, and worked on pushing for a progressive city council that would work to solve them. With our platform, we were able to flip two city council districts.Outside of the work force, I have interned with the Veteran Affairs Digital Media Team where I am a fact-checker. This internship allowed me to retell the past experiences of our Veteran hero's that and ensure that they are accurately told. My on-campus ministry Every Nation Campus has renewed my body, spirit, and mind and created a passion to become a leader in the organization and minister to as well as train others to be leaders too.
