Developing bespoke software for use internally at Mattioli Woods (approx. 500 users), integrating 3rd party solutions and databases, migrating data from the back office systems of acquired companies and providing reporting solutions across all data sets used by the company. The role required a very good understanding of financial product structures including: SIPP, SSAS, ISAs, syndicated investments, property (direct and funds), REITs, funds, OEICs, banking etc. Responsibilities included software development, team management, project management and business analysis. The role also involved liaising with staff internally, drafting new requirements, communication of requirements to the development team, prioritisation and management of workloads, and providing architectural guidance to other developers.
