As a Prototype Engineer, I coordinated with our Program managers and Mechanical Design Engineering to ensure that Prototype was ready for new product launches by designing and creating fixturing along with non-production components. I designed and installed a vision system for our perimeter screw station that added quality checks and saved $1000 per test round for our FDM product. Also, I worked on Continuous Improvement projects with the Process engineers for the launching of new FDM product lines. Finally I managed, performed, and reported out on our strain gauge testing for all products in final assembly and new programs that had PCB changes.

As a Production Process Technician, I minimized downtime by successfully troubleshooting malfunctioning equipment. For advanced troubleshooting on extended downtimes, I consulted with international machine suppliers to successfully get the production running again. Also I worked with Process, Quality and Industrial engineers to implement VAVE projects, including a redesign of one our processes leading to $25,000 in yearly savings.

I tracked and reduced scrap costs using TPS and continuous improvement, focusing on the top three root causes for the Full display Mirror line. Working with a high profiled line allowed me to coordinate with Quality, Process, and Test engineers for continuous improvement on the current generation of product and innovate for the future generation of product.

As a Propulsion Engineering Intern for United I managed projects on multiple fleets,specifically on the 767 and 787 fleets. I was able to review, evaluate, and determine maintenance procedures on United Airlines aircraft within the individual projects that I was assigned. I also got the opportunity to go out into the field and see some of these changes being completed in the field in Houston, Newark, and San Francisco.
