I'm the Director of Software Engineering at i5LED, where I coordinate the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of software to meet both business and client needs. With over two decades of development experience, I bring a vast background in application design and development to my work every day.My journey in web development began when I served as a web developer in the United States Air Force. Serving my country in the Armed Forces, like many family members before me, was a proud chapter in my life. While some have a natural proclivity to lead, I’ve always felt an instinctive drive to serve. This is where my passion for software development originated and continues to flourish today. Creating solutions to someone’s problems, making a larger issue smaller, or simplifying a difficult process is an incredibly satisfying way to serve others. One memorable example of using software to serve was a web-based communications tool I developed that provided global access to centralized employee information for those affected by Hurricane Katrina. In less than 48 hours, I conceptualized, designed, and developed an application that facilitated communication between management, thousands of employees throughout New Orleans and the Gulf Coast region, and the corporate headquarters in San Francisco. While working as a web developer at GAP, Inc., I built two portals that, in the words of my manager at the time, “lowered overall operating costs by approximately $800,000 annually, which led to increased customer satisfaction as well as an improvement in internal employee morale.”Helping and serving others through code is what drives me to open up my code editor every day. Before joining i5LED, I served as the web applications engineer for Dynamic Digital Displays. During my nearly 20 years in the LED display industry, I honed my skills in developing internal tools for corporate employees, applications for client marketing campaigns, and highly customized player software experiences. I had my hand in countless web and software solutions that created value for our customers and a competitive advantage for the company. When not buried in a computer screen, you’ll likely find me trying to replicate Stevie Ray Vaughan’s tone on the guitar or spending quality time with my pride and joy, my daughter, Elia.I'm currently devouring all things AI and Deep Learning so BroBar Technologies can use AI for good in service to others. Keep an eye out for TakeOnMedia™... it will be here before you know it and will have a transformative impact! Let's shake things up!
