As the Worship & Media Pastor of a church of 2,100, I oversee a paid staff and a number of volunteers to make our weekly services happen. This includes the design and execution of printed materials, social media graphics, video production, stage lighting, audio engineering, magazine layout, design, and production and much more.

I have designed all graphics and marketing pieces for the church while launching a social media campaign to promote sermon series and other events. I developed a new website built on WordPress to make our church accessible to the public and to house sermons and archives. During many services, I facilitated the transition period to make announcements and receive the offering.

The Carrera Program is an outreach to the At-Risk/At-Promise students at Union Public Schools. As an Academic Advisor and Tutor, I worked with 75 students, monitoring their progress in all of their core classes and provided support for their every need. I worked closely with each student’s social worker, mental health provider, and classroom teachers to create a network of care and stability.In 1984, Dr. Michael A. Carrera and The Children's Aid Society (CAS) developed an Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention Program using a holistic approach to empower youth, to help develop personal goals and the desire for a productive future, in addition to developing sexual literacy and understanding of the consequences of sexual activity. CSC organized a pilot of this approach at Madison Middle School in the late 1980's. In the more recent model, CAS-Carrera works with boys and girls 11-12 years old and follows their progress through high school and beyond.Guided by a philosophy that values youth as "a promise" instead of "at risk," CAS-Carrera works to develop a youth's capacity and desire to avoid pregnancy. The program is integrated into Union Public School's 6th grade, working with a cohort of 220 students, and adding succeeding grades each year through 12th grade. This approach is six days a week (including Saturday school) fifty weeks a year. It works closely with CSC's community schools effort in Union.

I helped launch the Broken Arrow campus of the LifeChurch.tv network as the Host Team Pastor. While in this role, I was responsible for overseeing and leading 400+ volunteers on a weekly basis. The Host Team is responsible for creating a welcoming environment to all attendees, so customer service was at the forefront. Attendance grew from 2,100 to over 4,400 in a few short months.

As the Executive Assistant to one of the pastors at the church, I was instrumental in helping him launch the Small Groups ministry. This included recruiting volunteers, writing, editing, printing, and composing all of the training materials and coaching each leader for personal and organizational growth.
