Leading a 5-person team of corporate asset managers responsible for air quality control systems and equipment for Luminant’s fleet of natural gas and coal-fired electricity generation stations. Providing technical and financial asset management leadership for all flue gas emission control systems and equipment for NOx control (SCRs, SNCRs), particulate control (ESP, baghouses), SO2 control (FGD scrubbers), mercury control (sorbent injection), and other required emission controls as determined by regulations. Participation with industry organizations supporting all functions and aspects of AQCS, direct interface with AQCS consultants, testing laboratories, catalyst manufacturers & regenerators, testing consultants, and traditional architect / engineering firms to ensure timely support of fleet needs and those of other departments (e.g., Environmental Services).

Member of a 5-person team of corporate environmental managers responsible for compliance, permitting, regulatory oversight, environmental management information system support, and annual auditing of 40 Frito Lay manufacturing facilities in North America. Directly supporting the 8 Texas manufacturing locations and responsible for company wide water quality assurance, wetlands, and underground storage tank programs. Team resource as a UST, remediation, SPCC, storm water, potable water, strategic due diligence, auditing, and wastewater subject matter expert.

As a Resource Manager in the Texas Operations Water and Waste Division delivered engineering and consulting services to industrial clients in the electric power generation, refining, telecommunications, primary metals, oil and gas, paper products, cement, polymers, food, chemical manufacturing and shipping, and wood products industries. Projects included soil and groundwater investigation and remediation, strategic due diligence, multimedia (air, water, and waste) compliance auditing, industrial process and domestic wastewater permitting, evaluation, and design, pollution prevention plans, storm water plans, SPCC plans, Edwards Aquifer plans, training, integrated contingency planning, public water supply, and industrial and hazardous waste management. Directly supervised engineers, field geologists, technicians, and administrative staff.

While pursing full-time employment in the Austin area, provided independent consulting services, including participation in NASA’s Space Shuttle Columbia recovery effort in Nacogdoches, Texas, as a subcontractor to USEPA (March 2003).

Provided project management and engineering support as a consultant for a variety of environmental compliance, permitting, evaluation, and design projects including air, planning, and wastewater issues for the semiconductor, chemical process, metal finishing, steel, printing, aerospace, and electric power generation industries.Assisted in the design and/or start-up of several wastewater treatment plant upgrades for industrial facilities. Prepared proposals, specification packages, drawings, submittals, and reports. Coordinated project meetings with clients and contractors. Developed detailed cost estimates for capital equipment, installation, and operating expenses.Developed compliance plans for industrial facilities including storm water pollution prevention plans, SPCC plans, TPDES wastewater discharge permits, and integrated contingency plans. Served as chemistry resource for subsurface, compliance, air, and wastewater groups within Caldwell Engineering.

Provided field-engineering support for installation, operation, and maintenance of a pilot scale supercritical water oxidation unit in the US Army's Assembled Chemical Weapons Assessment Program. Assumed responsibility as task leader for $900k follow-on program.
