I have always been drawn to the logic and coherence of mathematics, but I am also a very active, athletic person. So, my two degrees in applied mathematics and health and human sciences characterize me very well, despite the little overlap between the two. As a recent college graduate with two vastly different majors, I am seeking to develop a career involving my passion and knowledge of health and athletics as well as mathematics. I am not set on a specific career field, but I want a career where I can see how my work improves others’ lives. I am a strong advocate for exercise and health; I especially love distance running. I have run two full marathons with Boston-qualifying times. I am equally as hardworking and focused when it comes to my work, as seen through my acceptance into the National Mathematics Honors Society, Program Scholar award for health and human sciences, and graduating Summa Cum Laude.
