I hold a degree in Psychology from UC Davis and possess a CIDESCO diploma, Face Reality Acne Expert certification, California Esthetician's License, and am an Oncology Trained Esthetician.At UC Davis, I engaged in a series of mental health internships. Alongside my pursuit of a BA in Psychology and minor in Art Studio, I interned at the UC Davis Children's Hospital for Art Therapy and conducted art therapy sessions at a transitional living facility for the formally incarcerated. After college, I worked at Building Futures for Women and Children, serving at their domestic violence shelter, before serving in the Peace Corps. In Guatemala, I became involved with a program called Escuelas Saludables, and facilitated basic health education sessions for children and their families.Upon my return, I dedicated my efforts to different non-profit organizations focused on mental and behavioral health for children and teenagers.Transitioning into the spa industry, I aimed to establish a serene, non-judgmental environment and establish deep connections with my clients to alleviate the stress they experience in their daily lives while addressing their skin concerns. I completed my training at the Cinta Aveda Institute in San Francisco, obtaining my CIDESCO diploma and my esthetics training.Over the past six years, I have successfully owned and operated Brooke Christina Skincare in Northern California. Through extensive training, and utilizing cutting-edge products and equipment, I have aided numerous clients in achieving their skincare goals. Additionally, I possess a strong desire for clinical learning and gaining an in-depth understanding of the underlying causes of skin conditions, seeking holistic approaches to client's treatments.Remaining well-versed in the latest research and advancements in skincare, I participate in several skincare conferences annually and undertake continuing education to refine my expertise in skincare techniques and technology.My genuine passion for working with people is reflected in my dedication to providing clients with not only exceptional professionalism and experience but also a profound sense of well-being.
