Laboratory Technician
In this position, I performed all aspects of analytical testing on hundreds of oil, fuel, and coolant samples daily while following standard operating procedures and adhering to strict ISO 17025 quality standards and documentation requirements. I have experience with sample preparation and operation of analytical instrumentation such as ICP, GC, FTIR, Karl Fisher titrations, TAN, ISO particle counters, viscometers, and other complex in-house instruments. I utilized outstanding organization and time management skills to effectively complete testing within strict deadlines while managing multiple analytical tests in a highly dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Ccs It Student Consultant
I initially gained employment as a full-time co-op student from January 2017 to April 2017, and have continued to work part-time.As an IT Consultant for Computing and Communications Services, I worked in a team of students as the front line support for the University’s faculty, staff, and students. I helped clients troubleshoot various IT issues that include basic email functionality, installing software, and saving a computer that would not boot up into the operating system. I interacted with a wide range of clients from undergraduate students, to executive members of the University, to faculty retirees through email, phone, and in-person communication. This experience provided me with a large technical and interpersonal skill set that includes communication, problem-solving, teamwork, as well as technological literacy in troubleshooting hardware and software issues, networking, and proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.

Technical Operations Assistant
As a Technical Operations Assistant, I worked as part of the Tech Ops Team at McNeil Consumer Healthcare, a division of Johnson & Johnson, that handled research and development testing of Tylenol and other J&J pharmaceutical products. I was primarily responsible for ordering and receiving laboratory supplies, general upkeep of the lab in accordance with cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practises), and supporting the scientists and analysts. This involved solution preparation, housekeeping and chemical waste, purging HPLCs, cleaning and setting up dissolutions, and other tasks as needed (all in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedures - SOPs).I was also heavily involved with the United Way Campaign of Giving by supporting my supervisor (a United Way Lead) in creating marketing campaigns and emails, as well as coordinating and running events (ice cream sales, raffle draws and auctions).
Biology Instrutor
As a Biology Instructor at Camp Hurontario, I was immersed in a fast-paced, outdoor environment where I was responsible for planning and implementing a range of educational programs for children aged 5 to 16. These programs included identifying and examining animals and wildlife, analyzing lakes and puddles for pH and ammonia levels, as well as games and trivia. Every day, I met with different groups of campers to run these programs and activities at a number of different islands and inland lakes located around the camp. I collaborated with other instructors to create combination programs such as bio-swimming, bio-kayaking etc. in order to provide the kids with fun and unique activities. One of the major programs I coordinated was Enviro Day, where I planned a number of activities for the entire camp to partake in to raise environmental awareness. These activities included measuring the waste each cabin of campers produced at meal times, collecting micro trash around the camp, and trivia games at lunch. Through this opportunity, I learned and developed many valuable skills such as oral communication, presentation skills, leadership, and teamwork. In addition, I have gained more technical knowledge of biology and environmental science, and a greater appreciation for our environment.
