I am a licensed clinical psychologist holding licenses in Nevada, Michigan, Oregon, and Hawaii, and I hold PSYPACT certification. My areas of expertise include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, exposure-based therapies, including Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PE), and suicidality. I am trained in the Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidality (CAMS) and hold CAMS Trained and CAMS Certified designations. I have extensive experience with mindfulness practices, have maintained a consistent meditation practice for 13 years, and have attended many mindfulness courses and retreats. I work primarily with individuals dealing with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), anxiety disorders, trauma, and suicidality.I received my Ph.D. in Combined Clinical/Counseling Psychology from Utah State University in 2019 and my BA in Psychology from the University of Nevada Reno in 2010. Following my clinical internship at the VA Puget Sound American Lake, I spent 3 years as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychology at Western Michigan University. At WMU, I taught graduate and undergraduate courses in Behavior Therapy, Psychopathology, and Diversity and Inclusion. I also supervised the research and clinical work of clinical psychology doctoral students. Since beginning my training, I have been actively involved in contributing to research in the areas of anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorders, and processes of change in mindfulness-based behavior therapies. I have co-authored 24 peer-reviewed publications and 38 presentations at professional conferences in the United States and internationally. In addition to my current role at Lyra Health, I maintain a small private practice and provide data analysis and research consulting services.
