Directed and managed daily operations of the municipal recreation center -Administered revenue and expenses for recreation facilities. Was responsible for the development and implementation of budgets, oversight of weekly deposits, management of facility usage, and hiring, scheduling, and supervision of permanent, part-time, and volunteer staff. Functioned as principal contact for general public interaction with City department. Coached youth classes including gymnastics, cheerleading, and arts & crafts classes. Designed and Coordinated Recreational Programs and Community Activities-Operated the Robertson Activity League (“RAL”)—a grant-funded “at risk” teen program involving field trips, crafts, activities, community service projects, and guest speakers. Drafted the grant application and presented the budget to prospective donors. Supported community service organizations such as the South Robertson Neighborhood Council and the Park Advisor Board to address community needs and promote fundraising. Organized Peace Picnic—an annual festival in support of International Day of Peace with charitable support from the community. Coordinated with City Council District office to organize free summer “Movies in the Park” neighborhood event. Served on Expert Review Panel for Department of Recreation and Parks-Reviewed applications, interviewed candidates, and made recommendations to personnel department regarding prospective Recreation Coordinators.

Served as primary liaison between local community and City department. Interacted with and was responsible for addressing concerns of local residents. Organized special events for the community including the Spring Egg Hunt/Halloween Carnival. Organized and directed youth and adult sports leagues -Coordinated programs for baseball, basketball, football, and soccer leagues for 500+ participants. Recruited and trained volunteer coaches. Coordinated with multiple municipal locations to obtain necessary permits.
